Ultra Wideband (UWB) MAC Summary (8 pages, revision A, updated 8/09) The UWB-MAC is designed for easy integration into embedded Microcontrollers. Since it interfaces to the AHB and APB Buses, it is especially suited for ARM® or Cortex® based SoCs. The UWB-MAC provides hardware support for ECMA-368 (WiMedia)Media Access Layer specification. Most MAC functions are under software control by the same Microcontroller which is already part of the SoC. The interface to the radio module is compliant to the ECMA-369 MACPHY interface standard which is supported by UWB-PHYs like the Wionics, Realtek RTU7010 and 7012.
