Development Board
AT91CAP7X-DK Development Board The AT91CAP7X development board implements the fixed portion of the AT91CAP7 device as a microcontroller standard product, tightly coupled to a high-density FPGA that represents the MP Block. The board also includes a range of memories and physical interfaces/connectors for the external ports. This configuration enables parallel hardware/software testing of the application under development at close to operational speed, with no penalty for hardware modifications. This significantly reduces the design cycle time and increases confidence in right-first-time silicon and software.
AT91CAP9A UWB Evaluation Kit The AT91CAP9A Ultra Wideband (UWB) Evaluation Kit enables rapid, low-cost development of UWB applications built around the AT91CAP9 Customizable Microcontroller. The UWB Media Access Controller (MAC) is implemented, together with any application-specific logic, in the FPGA that emulates the CAP Metal Programmable (MP) Block. The UWB Physical Access Layer (PHY) is implemented in transmission and reception extension boards that plug into the CAP Development Board.
The CAP UWB Evaluation Kit consists of two AT91CAP9A-DK Development Kits (one for transmission and the other for reception) each comprising three associated boards (Motherboard, Mezzanine and 3.3V Memory Extension), a CAP9 UWB PHY Transmitter Board and a CAP9 UWB PHY Receiver Board, together with UWB Video Streaming Application Software. This configuration creates an application-ready UWB development environment with a video streaming reference design.
The CAP UWB Evaluation KIt has been developed in collaboration with the Institute of Embedded Systems (InES), Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). For more information send an e-mail to: info.ines@zhaw.ch
AT91CAP9A-DK Development Board The AT91CAP9A development board implements the fixed portion of the AT91CAP9S device as a microcontroller standard product, tightly coupled to a high-density FPGA that represents the 500K-gate MP Block.
AT91CAP9HA-DK Development Board The AT91CAP9HA development board implements the fixed portion of the AT91CAP9H device as a microcontroller standard product, tightly coupled to a high-density FPGA that represents the 2M-gate MP Block.

Starter Kit
AT91CAP7A-STK Starter Kit The AT91CAP7A Starter Kit is the ideal vehicle for low-cost, no-risk evaluation of the customization capabilities of Atmel's CAP7 microcontroller. The CAP7 starter kit allows designers to determine how the software, MCU and new IP will play together in a customizable MCU, without incurring any NRE charges or spending thousands of dollars for a full development board. Designers can accurately gauge the superior power consumption and performance characteristics of the CAP7 device, evaluate the ADC resolution, and experiment with the peripherals on the device.
AT91CAP9A-STK Starter Kit The AT91CAP9A Starter Kit is the ideal vehicle for low-cost, no-risk evaluation of the customization capabilities of the Atmel’s CAP microcontroller. It is intended to familiarize the user with the CAP concept and architecture, and is an ideal vehicle for students of electronic engineering to consolidate their knowledge of system-on-chip design, both hardware and software.
The AT91CAP9A Starter Kit facilitates the mapping application-specific IP blocks into its FPGA that emulates the functionality of the CAP metal programmable block, while at the same time providing a development platform for software for the ARM processor. This enables the hardware and software of simple applications, or modules of more complex applications, to be tested at close to operational speed.
